Bringing the online sales experience to life for an AARP partnership presentation.
Jackson Life, the top annuity provider in the United States is looking to expand into the direct-to-consumer (D2C) market by partnering with AARP. By becoming their preferred annuity provider, Jackson gains an important distribution channel and access to AARP’s 38 million members.
We provided industry insights and created interactive prototypes that showed the D2C experience vision.

Challenge
Not just tell - show the story
We focused on two target audiences. Michael is pre-retirement and focused on growth with income and Mary who is retired and wants safety. We introduced the characters with short videos to make them real and developed the prototypes for desktop and mobile to show the flexibility of the design and to match how each persona would likely be accessing the website.

Seeking growth with income
In his mid-fifties, Michael is still at least 12 years away from his retirement. But these days one never knows. There are so many unknowns in the world.
Ideally, he'd like to capitalize on the market while keeping his options flexible and not worry about outliving his savings.

Looking for safety
Mary is 67 and has been enjoying her well-funded retirement for the last few years. Even so, she is worried about the future given how volatile the market has been lately.
A potential downturn sounds scary. That’s why she is looking to put away some of her savings in a safe place for the next few years.
